The 2nd Cross-Strait and Hong Kong-Macao Congress on Pediatric Orthopaedics was held in Xiamen in May 2015. Jointly organized by leading pediatric orthopaedic institutions from the Cross-Strait , Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR, this congress marked the resumption of this significant academic exchange event following the inaugural congress in 2007.

Characterized by disease-specific and collaborative discussions, the congress focused on core clinical challenges in pediatric orthopaedics, featuring four special sessions: Pediatric Supracondylar Humerus Fractures, Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH), Pediatric Monteggia Fractures, and Perthes Disease. Renowned experts from the Cross-Strait , Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR engaged in in-depth discussions on diagnostic strategies, surgical techniques, and complex cases, sharing cutting-edge concepts and clinical experience.

The congress simultaneously offered Chinese-language thematic sessions and English-language international exchange forums, strengthening academic connectivity within the region while promoting international engagement. Numerous experts delivered presentations and led discussions on key techniques including minimally invasive treatment, complex fracture management, and hip deformity correction, playing a significant role in standardizing diagnostic and treatment approaches, advancing technical proficiency, and fostering integrated development of pediatric orthopaedics across the Cross-Strait , Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR.
