On behalf of the Chinese-Speaking Pediatric Orthopaedic Society, I extend my warmest welcome to all pediatric orthopedic colleagues from Cross-Strait,Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR—to this distinguished gathering.
Over the past 2 decades, pediatric orthopedics across the regions has grown side by side, achieving remarkable progress together. To further deepen the inherent close ties among us and to establish a regular, high-level academic platform, we jointly founded this Society in 2024. This inaugural academic conference, to be held in Guangzhou in May 2026, marks the Society's first major event and signifies a new phase in our professional exchange and collaboration.
The core mission of this conference is to continuously promote and enhance academic interaction and fellowship among pediatric orthopedic professionals across the Cross-Strait , Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR. To this end, we have meticulously planned this conference in accordance with the format and standards of leading international academic meetings. We aim to create a familiar yet professional international exchange environment for colleagues in our region. The conference will adopt widely recognized international educational practices, including peer-reviewed papers, thematic seminars, and conference language norms. This is designed to provide attendees,especially physicians from the Mainland China, with an internationally aligned academic experience "at home," thereby enhancing their ability to engage in global dialogue.
We have chosen Guangzhou, an open and inclusive hub city, in the hope that it will serve as an ideal venue for us to pool wisdom, deepen mutual understanding, and jointly envision the future. Let us take this opportunity to share the latest research findings and clinical experiences, working hand in hand to promote collaborative development and collective progress in the care of pediatric orthopedic patients.
