I. Entry Guide for Taiwan Compatriots
Entry Methods upon Arrival in Guangzhou (Baiyun Airport)
[Method 1] Already Hold a 5-Year Multi-Entry Mainland Travel Permit (Most Convenient)
- Disembark → Border Inspection Clearance: Baiyun Airport supports face-scanning self-service clearance.
- Border Inspection Clearance: Use the dedicated self-service channel for Taiwan residents (aged 14 and above). Insert permit + face scan + fingerprint verification; clearance within 10 seconds. Elderly/children/those without registered fingerprints should use manual counters.
- Collect Luggage → Customs Inspection: After collecting luggage, proceed through customs. If no prohibited items are carried, you will be released directly.
[Method 2] Without Pre-issued Permit → Apply for a "Single-Entry Mainland Travel Permit" at Baiyun Airport (Visa on Arrival)

Disembark → Proceed to the Port Permit Application Counter (Available at both T2/T3 Terminals)
- T2 Terminal: On the arrivals level on the first floor, the "Single-Entry Mainland Travel Permit Application Counter for Taiwan Residents" before border inspection (near the international arrivals exit).
- T3 Terminal: On the first floor in the international arrivals area, the dedicated port permit application counter before border inspection.
- Note: Apply for the permit first, then go through border inspection. Do not go through border inspection first.

- Completed application form (available at counter/self-service machine)

Application Process
- Submit documents at counter → Verification → Payment → Collect permit in approx. 30 minutes
- Fee: 40 RMB; Free for first-time visitors to the mainland.
- Permit: Single-entry valid for a stay of ≤ 3 months.
- After Receiving Permit → Border Inspection → Collect Luggage → Customs → Entry
Key Entry Reminders for Baiyun Airport
- Port of Entry: Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (T2/T3) is one of the 100 ports where single-entry permits can be issued.
- Self-Service: Those holding a 5-year permit can use face-scanning self-service clearance without waiting in line.
- Online Reservation: You can apply for a single-entry permit in advance through the "NIA 12367" app/mini-program and collect it directly upon arrival at the airport.
II. Entry Guide for Hong Kong and Macao Compatriots
Required Document (The Only One)
- Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (Home Return Permit) (Must be valid)
- Not Required: Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Macao (EEP), mainland endorsements, visa, health declaration, nucleic acid test, entry card.
